    Sharp AL-1045

    Hello,

    On SHARP AL-1045, I have an error "P" and the display light is red.
    I read the service manuel but nothing about the "P" error.

      Is p not for paper?
      I think you will find it is out of paper or it is not picking the paper from the tray

          gordie has got it. The self diagnostics are not very elaborate on these machines. It means that paper did not reach the paper stop sensor (registration sensor) within so many milliseconds. That could be out of paper, or a paper jam. Have you tried fresh (unopened) ream of paper, or cleaning feed tires? Is the paper end stop set correctly so that the paper is fitted all the way to the right of the paper cassette?

          I wish all posts read like this one: "I read the manual, and have this question.....". It shows that you took a little initiative and tried to figure it out. I like that. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Thank you both. Blackcat4866, i hope it is just a paper end stop uncorectly setting or a missfeed issue because i don't know where buying sharp feed roller.
              I'll see the copier tomorrow, i 'll give you a feet back on return.

              As the irish says in cork after few pints ( i used to leave there few years ago)
