After what he said, try replacing SD card. (you said refit, not replace)

Link is on a monochrome but the same applies for the MX3640, in this case.
I would replace the hard drive and then do and complete restore from dead machine process. I usually make a new sd card for it and then put in a new hard drive when i get this and that ensures the problem doesnt return. Sharp changed the hard drive on these several times, and if you have one of the early toshiba or hgst ones they are crap. I use wd blue 500gb 2.5 laptop drives without an issue.
