ARM-450N copy/print quality

Hello
Y have a quality probem in one arm-450n.
the problem is, the copy and the print is more dark in rear that the top.
y just try change: unit drum, developer drum, and transfer and main charge (corona)

and the print and copy have a litle diference betwen the top and the rear.

the copier have only150.000copies.

have someone any idea that can help me.

Dingo, depending on what your copies look like, it's more than likely the developer unit. After cleaning the developer out, check the mag roller. If it's dark on one end, sometimes cleaning with a scotch brite will work, but we typically replace it. The other thing to check is the gear on the transfer roller. If it wears, it will give you light copies on the rear frame side. We generally replace these at every supply change.

Hello DINGO. I think if you replace the developer unit the copy-print will be OK. Check SIM 80-2(128) before SIM 25-2. Good luck.

but, y have just try whith another developer unit, of another copier that is good, an the problem is the same.

But there are one thing strange, i put sm 80-2 is in (80), and the copy is not with good darK?

Y think that is a problem of transfer or charge, but where??
y jus change the transfer and main charge, the dv unit, an the opc(drum) unit??

when y say top rear, is for exemple in paper A4 mode,(not A4R) is more dark in top and comes lightly gradualy to rear.
y hope that understand, by.

Try to replace transfer roller assy not only transfer roller from 100k kit. I had same problem when I replaced only transfer roller and got pure copy-print,than I replaced transfer roller assy and it was ok.

I did not found nothing about tandem copying in SM. About your main problem-try to clean mirrors in lasser unit,because the mirrors could be dirty,or replace the lasser unit with new if you have it,that will take less time. I think that is all or something is wrong with rails or side door assy. Good luck to you.

Hello! Have you checked the springs behind the transfer unit. On a few of my machines one of the springs thats attached to the wite "nobs" behind the unit was loose and did not give the right pressure.

Y have one more time: take out, drum unit, dv unit, transfer unit, clean anything, , and chek the contacts of the transfer unit and give him a litle pressure, and well, the copy stay aceptable.

But My confuse is the dark of the copy is not normaLy, because y do the sm 25.2, and its stop at (96), y force them whith the 80-2 to (80). the copy is aceptable but not normaly for this copiers, y have anothers, and this problem starts of one day in the morning.

well, y hope when change the dv and the drum every stay normaly.

ah, this copier give two or four times F2-39?? means somthing??

F2-39 says there is trouble with the process thermister. Check connections and PCU pwb.

If the laser unit has ever been replaced (which is common on these models) the height adjustment may cause it to be lighter on one side or someone may have adjusted the laser height to compensate for the scewing this machine always developes.
