Remove front and rear covers, remove paper tray with 4 screws to access. -

I also trim the plastic frame piece that the sensor flag rides against. You can't miss it once you have the unit apart but you will need to remove the lift tray metal bracket (2 screws) to get to it easily. I have had this put a slight drag on the flag when it goes back to the home position and you will get SPPD5_S jams. Not too hard to take apart.
Good luck.

Re: Sharp mxm365n
It depends on if you are talking DSPF or RSPF? DSPF you need to remove front and rear covers, and also top cover (cross member). Remove the cross member, and original tray, then you can access the cove that the sensor is under. If it is an RSPF you get to it through the bottom side very easily. The Moose is loose!!Comment
