Hey Jesus,
Does that line go all the way edge to edge of the paper? Hard to tell on this pc.
If it does, that means (usually) that the line is from the main charge, cleaning blade/drum, or even the process unit seal. Usually.
I said usually, mmmk!
Look at those and good luck!Comment

Check the slit glass, the small strip of glass. Look at it from an angle and you might see a pen mark, white out or something on there causing the line.Comment

Re: Spf copy have a straight line (black marked) only in spf option.
If your line is not through the image lead and trail voids, and only occurs when using the SPF, there is dust or dirt in the optics. Frequently it can be seen easily on or through the slit glass. Less frequently a particle of dust on one of the mirrors can align just right when scanning through the slit glass only.
My recommendation is to leave the mirrors installed, and wipe the front surfaces with your favorite glass cleaner or alcohol. Sometimes it helps to slip a piece of white paper behind the slit glass to see ink marks.
Please do not remove the mirrors for cleaning. You will have great difficulty getting them back installed and aligned, if it can be done at all. =^..^=Last edited by blackcat4866; 04-09-2019, 12:37 AM.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
