    MX B402SC Bypass jams

    Hey gang,

Dealing with an MX-M402SC not pulling paper from the bypass. (Cass 1-2 are feeding fine.)

Paper seems to pick up fine, but once it reaches the registration rollers, the paper crashes. I've checked all the sensors I can think of. If someone else has seen this feel free to chime in.

    Thanks

Have the paper type and size settings been changed for the bypass Tray?
What is the Jam code you are getting?

The last time I had that same problem, was a simple fix I change the roller.

Do they use the bypass a lot? How many clicks? And like the other Tech says, check your paper settings.

Without knowing what jam code it is throwing we are just taking a shot in the dark. Could be P/U rollers, senors, wiring. It is kind of like getting a call saying "machine doesn't work." You need to give us a little more if you want some help. Run a 22-6 first. look at jam code, and that will tell you exactly where your problem is. Good luck.

LTR- Plain paper...so nothing has changed there.

The box only has 70K on it...it was refurbed and sold to a non-profit. So all the consumables are new.

I've forgotten which SIM code will give me the Jam/error printout.

Sim 23-2 will print the jam and trouble codes.

I'm guessing PPD1 sensor is bad. Part of paper feed 1 unit. Seen it before.
