Sharp AR-M208 has several thin white lines and

Very thin white horizontal lines across page on rear side of machine. Changed drum and cleaned main charge unit.Does this sound like a laser problem and if so is it correctible on this model by cleaning inside laser unit?
Also sometimes on multiples message states "out of memory" + "cancelling job'. Frank /AP

I would have thought that the Platen Cover/ARDF isn't sitting down correctly and is letting light in. Your other problems, I have no idea....they both might be connected.

Are the lines only from the feeder or are they also coming off the glass? Are they on test prints? If they are and you changed drum and MC unit Then the laser may have some dust in it. I have never had the laser on this model cause lines only the MC unit.

Thanks for replying. There is no light coming in and the lines come from both feeder and from glass. Also the machine is not used as a printer and so it is not connected to a computer. Frank

Frank, you should be able to do print out of 64-1. This is Sharps self print mode for all digital machines. It doesn't sound like optics though. Check the star wheels on the drum unit. If you can, scan & post a sample on here. Does it look like a void line or someting rubbing the toner off before it's fused?
Is the mag roller good & solid? These machines have a tendency to pull developer. Usually it'll fill the transfer roller & the door.
          Hope that helps !
