Copies were good so i reset Maintenance all.24-4 sim. When copier came back up,this was the exact messege.(Maintenance required.Code
BUT.....
DID YOU REPLACE PARTS?
sometimes you have to clear individual parts before clearing the counters
and why would you clear counters if you hadn't replaced the parts? are you trying to: do a halfassed job? or do you feel the engineers that designed the unit and set maint part limits just are a bunch of fools?
i was getting TA code. I cleared, but when the copier comes to ready i get
(Maintenance required.CodeIt will not clear. All the counters reset.
Do you know what the TA code means? Most of the time you clear this code their are other items that need to be changed. Do you have count on you maintenance items such as, black and color drum rotations? black or color developer rotations? How about you TK1 and TK2 counts? Possibly even fuser counts? We need a little more help here...counts would be nice.
I dealt with this a while back when these first released. There was a bulletin about maintenance codes in regards to FK3 (web which these models do not have). If you have reset all codes it would seem this is the one you don't have access to in sim mode because it frankly doesn't exist.
Enter SIM Mode 55-1, select Switch Number 22, Data Number 6, and set to 0. Remember topress Execute before exiting the SIM Mode for the setting to become permanent.
This was also an issue on the new black and white MX-M machines as well which was fixed with a firmware upgrade.
So my recommendation is to upgrade firmware and then check and or change that soft switch.

You should never reset the drum or developer counters without changing parts. The machine uses them for its process control (to determine amounts of toner, voltages, etc) and you'll often get seemingly-unrelated trouble codes as a result, which can easily lead you down a rabbit hole of expensive unnecessary parts replacements.
