    MXM623 paper behind transfer unit.

.Have replaced fuser, fuser drive unit and delivery unit. Jams most of the time. Shut off sensors then had a huge lead edge and trial edge was on back of page. Bizarre. Any ideas?

I would be looking at the secondary transfer belt next. Can't remember if you can run the copier with it removed but it may not be turning properly.

This machine has 1 transfer unit. The color machines have a primary and secondary.

The sensors are still used for timing if the jam detect is turned off.

If the lead edge is that far off I would look at the registration sensor, it may be slow actuating.

Sorry for the miscommunication. I was referring to the belt on the left side door.

What is the jam code you are getting?

I have not seen this problem before, but when you get a transfer kit to rebuild the unit it comes with a drive gear. It is like they know this gear goes bad. Maybe the gear on yours is bad or going bad possibly

On that series, I've seen this a few times. Bad paper curl or damp paper will miss the fuser entrance guides. The continuing rotation of the transfer belt will pull the paper's trail edge back down and go behind it. This usually causes POD1_N jam and strange image on the paper. I'd suggest trying using a heavier paper as a test to eliminate this possibility.

I have had this problem several times. Most of the time it has to do with the fuser unit. I also have had a transfer beld that had bad bearings. The last time I had this problem I had to replace the drum unit. Still don't know what is wrong with the drum unit. That was the first time I had the drum unit cause jamming with the paper going behind the transfer belt.

did you replace the fuser drive unit with the new style CFRM-1103DS54 ? there is a modified unit to resolve this issue listed in bulletin TT-121313_3. the one way gear and shaft length were changed.
