    There is a one way gear that starts to slip. It moves a sensor flag to let the fuser know what position it is in since the flag never moves the fuser pops open and shut constantly. PITA plus when this starts happening the sensor flag normally winds up breaking. We stopped rebuilding these just for this reason. A lot of the parts get heat damaged and become very brittle. Replacing the fuser is your best and easiest option.

    Customer called and said machine has loud clicking noise,still working,not too familiar with noises on this one.Any help appreciated thanks Dave
