Re: MX7040 Color copy/Print Auth Code
Okay that info you sent me worked for a lot of things, but they only want the color authenticated with a PW not the whole machine, is there a way to just have the color side Pass Protected?
also when they are scanning different documents to the same folder but wnat a different document in the same folder it seems they have to re set the destination every time, would this be in the Job Build? but just send a different document ?
sorry im a konica ricoh tech, and the client bought a sharp, im trying to work out some of there smaller issuesComment

Re: MX7040 Color copy/Print Auth Code
Set up two accounts.....one that allows color and one that prohibits color.
Then under "User Settings>Default settings"
enable "Device Account Mode", then select the Black and White only account.
This way when the color account logs out the black and white only account will automatically log in.Comment

Re: MX7040 Color copy/Print Auth Code
To send secont document to same destination
Under Systems Settings>Image Send Settings...
you should find a check box saying something to the effect of "Hold settings after scanning has been completed" Make sure that is selected.Comment

go to "user control"- "default settings" - untick "Disabling of Printing by Invalid User"
This way, you dont have to give a pincode or login when printing B&W.
For the copies, the device account mode is a good solution.Comment
