Is anyone familiar with the phenomenon of colored stripes (see example) on the MX-3060 and MX-3070 models? Especially at high humidity there is a quick breakthrough with the MX40GUSA, but also only with these models and not with other models that contain these drum units. After replacing the drum unit or 407MK the problem is solved. However, with humid weather, the reports come in many at the same time.IMG_5704.jpg

Re: Color stripes Sharp MX-3060 and MX-3070
Thank you for your response. No paper jam, transfer call or other problems. It really is in the Drum units and only with this series in certain weather conditions. After replacing the drum units the problem is solved. It's probably in the carbon footprint of the corona unit, but can't find any TR about this.Comment

Looks like the drum blade is flipping. Might not be a bad idea to repowder the blades halfway through their PM cycles. You could adjust the cycle interval and set up email alerts to remind you. Make sure to use the recommended powder.Comment

Nope...we have this on certain days in the year...
Warm en high humidity, a bunch of calls.
Next day the temperatures go down, problems disappear.
Had this a few times...very strange
Sharp never encountered this problem of course...as usual.Comment

Re: Color stripes Sharp MX-3060 and MX-3070
We overhauled the drums with a 60GRSA and 407MK. However, there has apparently been a change in the drum units. The old ones are gray on the front and with a metal bearing on the back. The new drums are white on the front and have a messing (brass) bearing on the back. We replace the drums with new ones as standard with these complaintsComment
