    ARm350u+ network issue

have a 350U+ with NIC and initial problem was IP adr on screen printout was different than what the computers were seeing (in a small office network).... it pings back, etc. but can't print thru it...
it faxes and copies just fine...relatively new machine in that only 22K prints so far... it may have had the nic card put in separately upon being sold from a reseller....

how do i get this to print on a network?

If you can ping the printer and if you can see the printer from web page-the conection is OK. Only what you have to do is that you configure printer driver and port. Is the NIC card configured OK (IP,SUBNET MASK,GATEWAY)?

If it's a 350u unless you have installed the P14 you won't be able to print to it. Go into Key Operator settings and Product key. Check to see if Printer Expansion is Highlighted. What do you mean "see"? Web page, or port setting?

Sorry to all who did not understand ( see from web page ) It means ,you open internet explorer and enter IP address from printer into IE.

Omens is correct. The 350U means it was just an Unconnected copier. You have to add the P14 which adds network printing. This is activated by the product key which is tied to the serial number.
You'd have to get the P14 from an authorized dealer. OR do what we do & order a parallel/ethernet print server from www.tigerdirect.com & make it a network printer that way. It's about $45 vs $600 or whatever the P14 is.
            Hope that helps !

              parrallel card

well, if i get a parallel /ethernet card, like the Dlink model....
can i still control the printer in terms of which tray i can use, etc...
i mean, is that still done by driver or is the special P14 licensing needed for full printer contrl function? i want to be able to use different tray of paper for different printing, so.....

Jim, all that is configured through the driver so you'll have full functionality of all installed options. Paper trays, hole puch, saddle stitch, stapling etc.
Once you've installed the driver, just go to the configuration tab & add all the options to the driver.
                Hope that helps !
