Since this is a rebranded Lexmark, have you asked on the Lexmark forum on here? They may be more familiar with these devices. Looks like the Lexmark equivalent would be the XM7355

That sucks, because you really need to isolate the issue from being a problem with the copier, or with the network.

If you do not have access to their network it's fine, set MFP to Wired+Wireless and set up an access point.
Log in the wifi of the MFP and set up print/ Scan that way to test.

You really should try to isolate the problem from being a "ME" problem, to a "Network" problem.

If it is not a copier issue, and it's a network issue, then I recommend looking at the read/ write speeds of the network folder/ nas.

    Courage man! And good luck!

Have you tried it with a directly connected PC or laptop? Is the IP address permanently assigned or connected automatically? What happens if you scan via email, is it also slow? What is the current firmware version of the device? Questions after questions because there is not enough information coming from you. I don't think the problem is with the device but rather with the network.

There's always the option, just whether or not their IT knows about it..

Check your Ethernet port lights. I have had it where the flashing lite was going crazy and everything was slow. Wound up being a network issue and switching to wireless connection solved the problem. Not sure if this is an option on this model. You didn't say if there were printing issues? Check for an IP conflict also.

    Good luck.

When you say "slow", what aspect is? Taking forever to take the documents through, or for it to send from the MFP to the PC in question?
Check DNS, perhaps use 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 as a secondary.
Setup scanning to your own laptop with a direct connection, this would rule out the machine if it worked just fine.

The computer or NAS read/write could be slow. I would also see if switching the computers HDD/ or NAS to SSD would improve read/ write time.

If you can verify by scanning to your laptop that the MFP is good, then it's most definitely a network problem.
Posting this issue under the connectivity forum might give you better answers.

Have you tried updating the firmware?

hey JLSam they are scanning to network folder. I will try these and let you know what happens. Thanks, a lot. They are hard wired. I checked the settings and all of it looks like its the lowest possible settings. Their file sizes aren't that big.

Not super familiar with the Lexmark reboxes. But I have seen slow scanning due to many things.

Under "Slow Scans" on my tickets I have a few notes:
I had 2 instances where the end user turned on OCR. Turning it off solved this problem.
Quite a few others was because they scan in Color, and Grayscale. Switching to MONO2 w/ TEXT solved this.
Another client was scanning 600*600 DPI, switching to 200*200 DPI fixed it.
Another client needed a new HDD.
A few of these tickets have Office365 as the cause of the slow scans, switching to a free Google e-mail fixed this.
Some was because the MFP was on the WIFI, tethering the MFP solved slow print/scans.

I hope some of my tickets help.
    Good luck!
