    BP-50C31 Flashing Yellow Indicator

    Hi Guys
We installed a brand new BP-50C31 last thursday, It worked fine all day thursday. On Friday we went back and installed a BP-FX11 Fax kit. Shut copier down correctly and up-plugged from wall. When we went to power it up the sub switch blinks blue for a long while then turns yellow and stays flahing yellow with no display or fans. We called technical support and he had us try to boot up in emergency firmware mode, with no change, check voltages which we're all correct. He then recommended replacing the SCN-MFPC PWB and the fax. We replaced the board today with the same result. Before caliing Sharp again, has anyone experienced anything similiar or have any Ideas ?
    Thanks

Did you try removing the fax module to see if it boots? Could just be that fax module is defective.

Very strange that the eMMC would all of a sudden fail so early... Was it warranty eligible?

Was any clone data uploaded to the machine? If so, then I would expect that was your failure point.

Try unplugging the ADF, Base, Finisher, etc., anything that could allow it to change the state it's in.

Forgot to update, ended up replacing the mfp board and that fixed it. Luckily had one on hand. I had done all that and it kept flashing yellow, had to use the board I needed for a dif machine but lower priority since client had a loaner. This machine had to be delivered the next day.

Sharp's electronics are garbage. Could be MFPC PWB, MFP program ROM or SSD when it doesn't boot in my experience.

                          No that's not true.

There is a whole procedure in the service manual to troubleshoot MFP Boards on the CR5 series

Pending how the MFP LED indicators are on will tell you the exact issue you have having. It's pretty straight forward with a flow chart to tell you exactly what to check and how to remedy it
