    Sharp BP-70M31 Twain Scan Settings

I just installed the above mentioned machine into an office that uses a tracking software for clients and their scanned files. To input files, it must use a Twain driver. I was able to get it working but there are a few hickups.

The major one is how slow it scans, it scans a page every 3-5 seconds. Ontop of this, they need to put the paper in rotated so it inputs the correct direction into the software. I've tried directing the driver to scan 100x100, from 300x300, with no change in speed. I've told the system which orientation the paper is, with no change in rotation.

I've talked with the programs help desk and this is the only way to scan into their system, no SMB, FTP or folder watching available. I know it's their fault for not having a better option but I'm looking for any input on how to at least speed up the scan and transfer to save face.

USB 2 or 3 ? Can help the speed, but TWAIN is slow by nature AFAIK

It's a shame, Sharp TWAIN has always been slow and disappointing; I guess it's still that way, too bad you can't scan via USB port, as it may be network interface related.
