    Sharp MX-C300W problem power loop

    Hello to everyone,
Yesterday I changed ADSL router and I have new IP address in my lan.
I change the IP of my sharp MX-C300W, from 192.168.1.130 to 192.168.0.130. The printer tell me to restart from power button. I switch off and after 6 second I restart it.
The printer start with message "please wait" and after some second auto restart in a loop.

    What I can do?
There is the video of this loop

    Thanks for your help.

Unplug network cable. Power up copier.

Does it do the same thing?

The Sharp printer is connected via WiFi to my router.
After my first post I switch off the printer and plug out the power cable (2 hours away). The loop is the same: power on, "please wait" message, after some seconds autorestart.

You have some idea? This for a IP change? 😲

Turn off the WiFi on the copier so it isn't connected to your network (switch it to wired connection, but don't plug it into the network either) and see if it does the same thing.

If I understand correctly the only thing that changed is your router.

So we have to eliminate that as the possible cause. disconnect from wireless network, do not connect to the network (new router).

Does machine function as a stand alone copier?

How I can switch off from WiFi? I can't pull down the lan e wifi network for the server service.

When I turn on the printer no led bink. I have to press some button when I power up?

OK sorry forgot you can' t access settings because of boot-loop....

Browse to router web interface, presumably 192.168.1.1

Look for a method to block the device, you will probably need MAC address of copier.

It may be easier to simply TEMPORARILY turn off your new router.

Reboot copier..... does it function as a copier?

We just need to eliminate the router as possible cause. And because the router is the only new item in the equation, makes it most suspect.

First of all, I MUST ask... have you tried re-flashing the firmware? It costs you nothing, and it's only like a 5 min detour...

I mean, I'm looking at a the latest firm upgrades and I see this:

Correction for the issue that MFP reboots when receiving specific SNMP packet.

There are some cases where MFP cannot wake upMFP occasionally locks up when trying to set up Group Registration from Web Page if more than 200abbreviated dialing are registered.

Always try a firmware upgrade. Costs you nothing, and it has saved me from A LOT of RANDOM issues.
                  Good luck.

Now I'm out from the office. Tomorrow I try to take away from the WiFi. Or take it at home 😋
Now in italy is 18.35 and the shop is closed. Tomorrow I try it at 8 am in local time. I update you.

Hi, I don't refresh the firmware. It is needed?
Where I can find it? I see on YouTube a technical video for update it from usb device, but with working printer.

The web page of the printer is not available because it restart in loop.

Doesn't sound like you are a Sharp Authorized Tech then, it's ok if you are not. A lot of brands make firmware update a pain in the ass, I get it. But Sharp generally makes it simple.

In this particular case however, due to the fact that you can not enter Engineer Mode to get in Sim 49, you will need to do what's called an emergency firmware upgrade.
Look at the service manual Section 8, Chapter 2-D, and look up CN update Function. Follow instructions.

                      Basically,
                      Open Cover
                      Move Dipswitch
                      Insert USB with new firmware.
                      Turn on MFP.
                      Select Firmware.
                      Click ok.
                      Wait 5 mins.
                      Turn off.
                      Put Dipswitch Back.
                      Put cover back.
Turn on, and be on your way.

All this will take less that 10 mins, I assure you.

                      Good luck my friend.

Re: Sharp MX-C300W problem power loop

You are going to need to run the Firmware Recovery Mode on this device. This is the only way to correct the boot-loop.

Place the latest Firmware on the root directory of your USB Drive. It must be the only file on the USB Drive as well for this procedure to work.
Open the Main Right Door and install the USB Drive.
Press & Hold the Address & C buttons, then power on. Do not release these buttons until Download Mode appears on the display (about 15 seconds).
The device will start the Firmware Recovery Mode. When finished, close the Main Right Door and power the device off. Remove the USB Drive and power on.
The device should be operational again. If the same boot-loop continues, the device will need a replacement MFP Board and Panel Board.

The MXC300W does not support CN Update Mode LJSam. The MXC301W does, as it has a touch-screen. You must run the Firmware Recovery Mode on the MXC300W.

I turned off the wifi router and started the printer, but it remains in loop as in the video of the first post. The machine don't start any function: no printer, no copy, no fax mode. Start with "please wait" and restart after 20 seconds.

I also tried to connect via USB cable but the printer is not detected.

Hello. I search on the web the firmware, but I don't find it.
I find only the instructions for firmware update but not the web address to find it.

                              Ther the manual image

Someone can upload (in a Dropbox or similar) the firmware?
For start the recovery is needed to press address + C bottom, start the printer and wait the firmware update message?

If I have the firmware for the recovery I can try it with a video.
                              I wait your answers.

                              Thanks to everyone.
