    Network trouble.

Customer has three machines side by side. This one wont print, email ect. In the pic I am showing, it shows the IP, but to the left it shows a IP starting with 169. If I unplug network cord and reboot machine I can print connected to my laptop and both IP"s match. Plug back into the network and then the 169 shows up. The other two machines are working. To me it seems like a network issue on their end. What do you think could be going on? Network side of things I am not real strong on.

Can you reach another network connection/port to test, or roll the machine closer to another network port? I agree, it sounds like that network port is non-functional. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We disable mDNS and that usually stops machines from pulling those ZeroConfig IP addresses

There is a network problem. Either the connection is defective or not switched. But the problem is definitely not with your device

Thanks for the replies. I showed the customer and they are going to have whoever does their IT look at it. I am mainly trying to find out for my knowledge.

I would plug one of the other machines into the same port to see what happens. If the IP is zero conf then it's definitely their network! Easy way to prove it's their network and not copier issue..

            Good luck.

PS Did you try a different Ethernet cable by chance?

My guess is that the network outlet in the wall is not patched.

An easy way to troubleshoot is to either plug a laptop to the network cable connected to the machine and see if you get internet / network or just try one of the working machines on the same cable.

Learn how to create an "ad-hoc" network with your laptop. Modern devices no longer need crossover cables so any cable will do nowadays.
Anytime I have a suspected network issue, I configure to my laptop then print and scan while the customer watched me do so.
