2651 Scanner problem

Hello,

I'm having a problem with a 2651 which is smashing its scanner left and right.
I am attaching 22-06, an example of an A4 and A3 glass scan, and 2 videos:

No problems when scanning from the feeder.
The home position sensor reacts correctly.
I've cleaned the entire optical compartment and checked all the ribbons.
The machine is in a school, the users didn't use it during the vacations, they only noticed the problem on their return.
There is construction work on the site at the moment, so there may be vibrations or power cuts during the vacations.

Any idea ?

My first thought is the motor... But after that it's PCU for me. We had the same problem on a 2640 with the shift motor that kept slamming towards the rear and then getting off track and throwing L4-11 randomly. PCU fixed that one but gotta start with the cheaper option unless you happen to have a PCU floating around.

Alternatively the cables could be wrapped weird, but I'm unable to view your video(s) to verify.

I've tried to realign the scanner, changed the motor, changed the PCU, and at last the MFPC.

Interesting, crazy that it was the last thing in line. I've had an MFPC not tell the laser to write the image, but haven't ever had it force a motor to go too far.
