    MX-4141N question

I have this machine that jams going through the fuser and sometimes you can hear gears jumping. If the copy comes out it may have a line that's blurry. I tried a another used fuser but it still does it. I took out the secondary transfer assembly and when I rotate the gear the belt does not rotate but I have another used one that does not rotate either, so my question is, should the belt rotate while turning the drive gear on the unit? I know this could be a common problem for you guys but it's the only one I have out there.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I would start with the fuser drive 2 step gear in the fuser unit, those strip out all the time. If you found a lot of brown dust on the rear frame under the fuser, then that would be it. For the 2nd transfer, if it is old it might be stretched out so will not turn when the gear turns. In that case a new belt would be the fix.

Check your secondary transfer belt. They can pop and make a blur. Have seen it many times.

I think there was a little. I put a new fuser in about 125K copies ago.

I replaced the transfer #1 assembly with a used one and that fixed it.
          Thanks everyone for the help.
