    sharp 450 scann disappears?

just checking to see if anyone else has had this problem. turned machine off friday and come monday scann is gone. I know that it would be easily reinstalled if I have the code for this machine, but I don't as it came in some used machines we bough. we set it up here in the office about a year ago and no problems untill now. if we could change the serial number to a machine that we have the code for it might work but we don't have that info either. anyone possibly have the info. I have some of the hidden codes for this machine but nothing on changing the serial number. might not work anyway but I would like to give it a try. Is the scann disappearing a common thing with this machine? no work, unusal use or power problems over the weekend that we are aware of. any help, comments or views welcome

You don't want to change serial numbers; contact Productkey Support and give the model and serial number (as shown in the TC 22-5) and ask for a re-issue. If the scan was in demo mode (TC 26-10) and scans exceeded 500, that would disable scanning.

Sharp will only reissue you a product key to the original dealer. I assume since you bought them used you're not the original (unless your dealership bought the NS-2's to activate).
From what I've been told, you can change the serial number in the special codes then use a good known product key for that serial number. I believe the code is 84 or 85. We were told that another dealer was doing this & that's why they were always cheaper on bids !!!!
      Hope that helps !
