[Misc] Sharp MFP BP-50C31 can not print from all pc but can scan

    Hi

Sharp MFP BP-50C31 can not print from all pc but can scan, unable to print nic page when connected to the network, still can ping

I have a printer at my client place, BP-50C31. I label it as printer A using ip A. For a few month now, it having an issue of cannot print from all pc. Upon checking, using 1-1 connection printer no issue. Also ping the printer is ok and scan also ok. But when try to print the nic page or machine status page, the machine will hang and not able to print the configuration page but when I unplug the network cable, it will print just fine of the configuration page. I have try swap machine (both are of the same models), I relocate the printer A into location B using ip B and it is doing just fine. But when I relocate the printer B into location A using ip A, it will have the same issue. Currently, we try change the ip A into different ip at location A, 3 times, when changing ip at location A, the printer A will be fine for temporary, then in some case 1 month happen again, then change different ip, 2 month happen again.. and so today as we had changed into new ip number 3 on last november 2024..it happen again.. what could have cause this issue? Additional info, when first happen and i relocate machine, i also did test using ip A at location B into the printer B, and it also hang at those location B but when I put back the original ip B, it is ok. Also have tried swap machine permanently between 2 locations, the problem place still happen with different printer but at the other place with the problem printer is doing ok. Thanks for any assist. Have consult the customer networking person, their checking on their part will be saying their network no issue. sigh. Got any simulation or setting I can do maybe to checking on printer side..

How are the computers printing? And also how many? If they're going through the server, then it could be a server issue. If they're printing locally, I would point it to one PC causing the issue. Also, have you reset the NIC, and then put the info back in? Could clear image memory in sim 66-10, as well.

      Pick your poison
      A) Something is using the same IP
      B) There is a defect with the LAN cable or LAN port or the electrical section of your customers.
      C) Fix the network negotiation
      55-03
      SW6-1 Negotiation: 0 = Auto, 1 = Manual (see below)
      SW6-2 Ethernet Link Speed: 0 = 100Base TX, 1 = 10Base T
      SW6-3 Ethernet Duplex Mode: 0 = Full, 1 = Half
      SW6-4 Ethernet 100/1000 Link Speed: 0 = 100Base TX, 1 = 1000Base T

Also there is a note about 192.168.0.xxx network that mess wit the copier, you need to update the firmware and the NIC firmware.

If the SNIC version is 01.03.01.00, IP address conflicts may occur if you install the MFP on a network with the IP address 192.168.0.xxx.

In the SharpONE, the SNIC firmware 01.04.01 is available in the download center for the corresponding models.
The update can be installed like normal firmware via SIM49-01.

When it happen, the computers will not printing and the job will forever spool at the computer. It will happen to all computer connected to the printer regardless of how many. It is printing locally. If one pc causing the issue, they have another mfp of the same model and it is printing just fine. have done reset nice also same. 66-10 also same.

            A) when ping and unplug the network cable from the machine, ping not no reply. suppose if something is using the same ip, when unplug the network cable, ping will have response.
            B) customer IT tech have change to differ location internally to try differ port with new LAN cable, next day still happen and so temporarily change to differ ip for the sixth time
            C) thanks for the info about network negotiation, after change into new ip for the 6th time for temporary solution, i had done 6-2, 6-4 and 34-3 .. will try to add later about 6-1 and 6-3

about the firmware update , the machine is on auto remote update , simulation 26-29, and so the machine is updated to the latest firmware.

4th time happen customer is using ip 10.21.25.80 , currently havent found the cause and again temporary solution by customer IT tech is change to another new ip again. still under monitoring.

Wait, so it's happening on multiple machines at the same customer now? When they change the IP, is their IT reserving it so NOTHING else can take it? Had the issue the other day where a phone was taking the IP and it was randomly letting print jobs partially come through, they would print a page or two and then nothing would happen. Ping test was alllll over the place. Mysteriously it just stopped when a bunch of people left for lunch.... Their IT reserved the IP and it stopped entirely.
