    Separation of carbon paper

We're experiencing some major problems with carbon paper separation.

A lot of companies here use the same kind of paper, 4 numbered copies carbon paper for transport documents.

The CR4/4.5 wasnt al that good in separating these correctly, resulting in incorrect numbering.

The CR5 is just crap at this...

We tried different rollers (swapped the separation roller to a nrolr2162fczz), different orientations of the paper, even made a paper type where i slowed down/sped up the CPFM...all to no avail.

Is there anything else that we can try, except for using other paper?

So it's still attached carbon? Or is the paper sticking together too much? We don't have anyone using carbon anymore, so I don't have experience with it, unfortunately.

You should normally use the carbon mode in the driver

          Its CMR paper.
So 4 pages, numbered per 4.
They must have this in france also?
The carbon will not work in this case.

I did ask a question, that you didn't answer... Is it sticking together to the point where it's feeding 2 sheet instead of 1? Or are they so stuck together that it's feeding a bunch?

I know the last thing the customer will want to hear about is the paper, but if they all get it from the same manufacturer/distributor that could be a factor. I'm curious if it still works on older models, or if the customer has upgraded to new models and immediately had problems, or if they had the machines for a while and then had the issue.

So is it carbon paper or """carbon"""" paper ?
AFAIK you can't use carbon paper in a laser or inket printer.
I don't have a lot of customers that need """carbon""" paper but the notaires use specific reams that are classified and ordered in the factory (they have to specify if the print is top or bottom), and the transporters use 4 trays for the 4 """carbon""" paper.
