    MX3560v missing settings

So I went to an F2 code and the MFP was switched off. Powering up it couldn’t connect to the main device, using built in user control and print release.

Fixed the F2 code and then looked closer at the other issue. Couldn’t access system settings. It was sitting spinning.

Ended up formatting the hard drive and I am now printing and scanning again after cloning from the primary MFP.

One issue though is I cannot use the print release function, due to not being able to use the user number function. It just isn’t there. All other user configurations are there.

Currently running a memory initialisation, have ran an emergency firmware update.

    Open to other ideas.

Sounds like you've lost the address book or some settings unique to that MFP by formatting the HDD

Yes and I’ve reimported the settings. But I’m missing a line in user registration, underneath index there should be an option for user number.

That option to fill in a user number isn’t there.

There's a good chance the mSata(emmc) is failing. Do you have any screenshots of what you're seeing? I've experienced odd things happening when the HDD or mSata(emmc) fails. Check smart HDD under 62-7. Also easy to view it on the 22-6, pg5, towards the bottom. If it's anything besides zeros, then sectors of your HDD are failing, and formatting it just prolonged the inevitable of the HDD failing.

I'm also guessing the hard drive.
And please also delete the job logs

Thanks guys, I'm thinking the hard drive myself or msata. The turning off at the wall obviously hasn't helped.

I think I will try and call in on the way home. Could take a few screenshots then, I will try the hdd check and the 22-06.

Is the job log just 67-17.

I've been having a quick look on a 5070 in our workshop and it's almost like the user settings are stuck between login name and password and user number only.

I will get an mSata and hard drive sorted.

Also, don't bother with the HDD check in sim 62, it's a waste of time. The HDD smart info in 62-7(pg 5 on 22-6) is infinitely more helpful and takes significantly less time.

The HDD smart info in 62-7 is showing a lot of errors. Thanks again

bad HDD, you can tell cos it wont enter settings or print a 22-6, replace it. It will pass the HDD test in the sims but trust just replace it.

If good the info from Sharp Support, when you go to page 5 on the 22-6 there is something with Smart Info. When there are only 0's the HDD is fine, but when there are many numbers and /or letters its bad. ( Screenshots )
