    MX-2651 Original detection on glass

    Hi
I have an MX-2651N with the following problem:
The device recognizes the formats correctly via the original feeder (A5/A4/A3). So far so good.
However, if I place a sheet of paper (A4) on the glass , it only recognizes B4, regardless of whether it is lengthwise or crosswise. Only A3 is recognized correctly.
In service mode 41-02 I cannot carry out the calibration completely because it sees PD2 PD4 PD6 as permanently triggered. The ORS PD PWB board has already been replaced with another device and works perfectly there. The same thing with the small board Original Detect emission PWB.
According to the customer, the error occurred suddenly and I'm slowly running out of ideas.
Firmware the latest available, paper cassettes all set correctly.
    Ideas??

Nothing to block the holes in the LEDs and receivers? This happened to me once.
Is the glass clean or damaged?

Glass pane is ok, but I'll take a different one next time I visit, you never know. But as I said, sensors 1, 3, 5 and 7 display correctly and also work in the test, which is strange

Had the same problem, my solution was to replace unit with led lamps under ADF( one that moves up and down when you open ADF)

I had a similar problem with another model. The issue was that the spring putting back up the original size detector wasn't fully elevating after you pulled up the automatic document feeder, making it impossible for the machine to see the marks for every size. Too cumbersome to repair, and not wanting to swap the whole part (the local tech thought it would be too much for such a little defect), we just need to give it a notch so it goes up fully. Not the best fix, but manageable within a small lot of users in a specific work area. Many never even noticed the problem, using only the automatic feeder...

Try this simulation to adjust the LEDs
              SIM 41-2

Sorry, but did you read the post correctly? I have already described it that when I go into service mode, it shows me PD2 PD4 PD6 as triggered and does NOT run the test!!
