Bp-du70sa not fitting the bp70c45 copier

We bought a new set of drum units to fit the BP70c45 copiers, but they did not work in the machine and actually locks up the machine with a L4-18 error code. These are new OEM Sharp drum units. The box lists them as BP-DU-70SA drum unit
The Dunt Part # on the unit out of the box is DUNT-1266GS11. The part that was in the machine is DUNT-1266DSZZ. I have gone online to research DUNT-1266GS11 and have found no trace of this number. The frame itself is different and looks the same as the BP-DU70SB which is for the faster 55/65 machines. Has anyone run into this?

    Wrong region I guess.
I can't even order the BPDU70SA and B in France, I have to order the drum BPDR70SA and the charging roller BPRK702.
The process frame unit (without the drum and the charging roller) is CFRM-1817DS51 and 53

Isn't there something you have to push on the drum unit to unlock the drum? A tech brought me a set of new drum units that he said were locked up. I think you have to do something to unlock them so they don't throw the L4-18 but can't remember exactly right now.

My bet would be wrong region. That part number is the same across regions, but the GS, instead of DS, I'm pretty sure means a different region. The rod that needs pushed in for the charge roller does NOT stop the drum from moving, so it's likely not that knob that has to be pushed in. You'll just end up with fully coverage, awful looking solid prints, with DV on them as well.

My problem is that is does not stay unlocked even after it is placed in the copier. it allows the drum to turn but then locks unless the button is held in.
this setup fits the faster machines but not the slower machines.

Could be that SB drum units have been put into SA boxes at the factory. I think there have been some quality issues with the BP-DU70SA/B because of handling at the factory. It wouldn't suprise me if some got boxed wrong.

If I am not mistaken I sat in a remote round table meeting and a dealer brought the issue up that you are having. I will see if I can find the video.
