Just my first time taking a vid of them cold, have had it happen before also.
As for thermal contraction, I believe the hub is affected more than the neoprene rubber is making the roller come off of the hub.
Just a little fun thing, to show customers how cold can affect small things like this.

Shouldn't it... constrict in the cold? I always learned that the cold decreases the movement of atoms, causing them to use up less space, and therefore said material would constrict. Heat creates more kinetic energy in the atoms, hence more movement, more space needed in between atoms, therefore materials expand.

Maybe I need to go back to school.

We have had that for 5-10 years now. Sharp says no problems. I usually threw them in a microwave for about ten seconds warmed them up enough to stay put.

Literally put them in my armpits to warm them up enough to work, the prefeed roller was new also, the right most one was room temp. Not the first time the cold has done this.
Working...
