    Sharp fuser, paper jams

    Hallo,

We have many Sharp MX3071 / MX4071 / MX5071 / MX6071 line in the field. We know that fuser are not the best, but is there maybe a setting of settings that can cause less paperjams in the fuser? See image.

Many time the paper gets stuck and it's not possible to remove this without having to screw open the fuser.

    Regards,

    Ramon

I wouldn't say it's going to help a ton, but there is now a set of soft switches you can adjust to turn on an auto clean setting(prints out a yellow sheet).
SIM55-1 SW32 Data5-7 (Fusing cleaning mode auto execution frequency)
    567
    000: Not execute (Default)
    001: Every 1k
    010: Every 5k
    011: Every 10k
    100: Every 25k
    101: Every 50k
*At the time of auto execution, one paper is output in the same way as manual execution (System Settings
    > Image Quality Adjustment > Collective Adjustment > Fusing Cleaning Mode).

Also, bumping up the weight setting in Paper Settings up to 28lb, as well as bumping +5 in 43-1 - plain paper, has helped us. Plus, replacing the fusing belt and separation plate together.

Adjust sim 50-5, change setting "A" from 30 to 45. This will give you a slightly larger lead edge when printing improving fusing separation.
