    Sharp MX-8081

Greetings all, this Sharp MX-8081 is throwing TRAY1_1ST jam code. Feed and sep rollers are new and tandem transport assembly is also new. Anyone have an idea where I should look next?
    Thanks in advance

Try SIM 7 to eliminate jam codes; if it still jams, you have a mechanical issue, if it passes paper, you have an electrical (sensor) trouble.

A little more info please? How many copies on the machine? How many on just tray 1? Firmware up to date? (Sometimes a CN Update can do wonders) Is this the only jam code, and no error codes otherwise?

I sure you checked for folded corners in the stack of paper. Could be the clutch responsible for picking up the paper from the tray (Tandem drive unit).

Thanks all for the helpful suggestions. Turns out it was the simplest of things and my colleague caught it, Hadn't seated a feed roller all the way... Hanging head in shame. lol

Hi there, at least you came back and let us know what the fault was. That is why I always, when possible, take a torch and check that the feed rollers are seated all the way. You should also feel a click when the roller is in all the way

I always do a little shim-shimmy back and forth for that reason, on ANY roller, or almost anything I put back in place. Same thing in the older version of the DSPF with that plastic pickup roller holder.

Dont forget the paper being folded under itself in the tray. VERY common with this design
