Re: SHARP MX3570V
Unfortunately no solution yet. Their IT changed the Print Driver from Server
Based to a Computer Install. Doing this is not a bad thing to see if it
would cure the issue - but, when I have run a SIMMS Report from the copier,
I have had the same print issue.
I am leaning towards something mechanical rather than a Board. The
issue is intermittent which makes this really difficult to find and arrest.
Thanks for the inquiry.Comment

Re: SHARP MX3570V
I'm the Tech who changed the clutch in the field that Branjake referred to, The issue was on copy and print, and it was very intermittent. the clutch is located at the bottom of the fuser drive unit, and it's sole purpose is to move the secondary transfer roller to the print position. Section 66 part number 25 in the PG.Comment

Re: SHARP MX3570V
Thanks for the detail on that. I am waiting on the power source. I am finding out
that there may have been an issue with the outlet. I have an Innovolt on the system
and will be able to get a read on the power from the stored power information.
How did you get to finding it was the clutch? My issue with this is there are no error codes.Comment

Re: SHARP MX3570V
If it happens on prints, it will also happen on copies (provided it's in the equipment)
If it happens on copies only, that tells you it's in the optics.
Same print engine is used for copies and prints.Comment

Re: SHARP MX3570V
And the answer is - Fuser Gear Clutch. It was that simple - but it always is when you look back after the fix. I want to thank everyone's input. This was one repair that had lend itself to multiple possibilities. And it didn't help that the issue was intermittent with no codes.
I hope if anyone has never had this issue that this helps them focus in on where maybe to look first. It made sense that it was a Clutch that would have failed. I had a discussion with a Sharp Executive a few years ago when this series copier came out. He told me one of the reasons for upgrading the Units was because of the electronics - they were not working well, that was the electronics weren't working well. They were having larger failures then usual. It was about the wiring - the connectors.
Again, My Thanks to All!!Last edited by Tech2002; 06-18-2022, 01:20 AM.Comment

Re: SHARP MX3570V
When I changed out the Primary Transfer it was the whole unit.
I forgot to add that I have done a 61-1 Laser Check - Good
Firmware has been updated to most resent.
The issue I have described intermittent. It appears to only act up as described after it has
been working long runs. Plus I tried most of the suggestion recommended to me - very
appreciated.
Because the the long run and problem scenario I decided to change out the Transfer Control PWB.
It was the heat thing that made me to look in this direction. I've got it replaced and it is a wait
and see.
One of the up ticks with the replacement board the colors, from a copy to a copy - those color copies popped!
Just that alone made me think it was a good thing to have specifically changed out that board.
I'm not out of the woods yet, but will update in a week or so - it shouldn't take too long to see
a positive or negative final results.
I sincerely appreciate everyone's input!!!Comment
