    H-codes MX-M4070 series

This has been covered before. Is there a fix for these random (frequent) errors?
H5-01 H3-00 H2-03, etc. Yeah the 'cleaning' swab solution seems ridiculous. Was thinking of replacing male/female sockets:
    DHAi-5812FCPZ (M6070 only) $57.04
    DHAi-5811FCPZ (other M-series) same price
    DHAi-5807FCPZ (M40xx and below) receiver $53.30
    DHAi-5808FCPZ (M60xx AND M50xx models) receiver $57.04
Hope it's not a waste, chime in if you know the permanent fix. None of these units have high page counts (under 120K)

I'm sure it's real, but haven't had the swab cleaning procedure actually fix any problems yet.

Test the power from the wall outlet with a multimeter. These machines are very susceptible to fluctuations / undervoltage. Make sure air conditioners/kettles/heaters etc aren't plugged on the same circuit.

Also note the fusing belts are paper-thin and any small nick can easily cause pieces of the belt to rip right off, which will cause an H-code. It's hard to notice pieces missing since both the belt and the foam roller underneath are a similar shade of brown. Worth bringing a MX609FB belt along for remote calls.

Version 5 Firmware (Bundle 0500z100_20040900) has a fix for this.
'Running Change of H trouble judgment & retry processing to prevent false detection of H trouble code'.

Make sure the unit is on Version 5 Firmware. After that, you have a hardware issue within the Fuser Unit most likely.

When you replace a fusing unit you are supposed to remove the old unit, power up the copier until it tells you to install a fuser, then power down and install the new fuser.

If I had to guess, I would say 75% of tech miss this step on these machines.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

I am one of the 75%that does not do this. I have not heard this before. I heard about turning off and back on before doing firmware. What does this fuser procedure do? Did this come from a service bulliten? Just want to know more about it. Thanks

I don't remember where the information originated, but it is supposed to reset the readings for the thermistors that are in the PCU PWB.
If you don't power cycle the copier the data that is received from the thermistors could be read improperly.

I shouldn't say very susceptible. Very bad power is the culprit in the 2 cases I've seen.

The only place I have seen this information is in Sharp TT-021716-6 and applies is when replacing the PCU PWB

Never heard about this. But we'll give it a try.

We have many h5-01 false jam error, and a lot oh Hx-00 errors.
Same customer, MX-M4070 a Lot of H errors, MX-M4071 none of them. Same Power Circuit.

FW Updated to 5th Gen but it's not updated from 2020 last one is version 05.00.z1
                    Fuser are bad!
                    FW is Crap.

                    Just a complain! :-)
