Re: Sharp MX4101N - 2nd transfer belt not turning.

Greeting fellow technicians. I have received the new primary transfer belt assembly clutch and I believe the best way to perform the repair is to remove the whole drive section. I have attached a copy of the instructions from the service manual. Although it appears pretty straight forward and simple, could it be that simple? Your input would be deeply appreciated, especially if you have done this before. Thanks.

The assembly is as easy as the instructions show (use something to hold the control panel gate open). The hard part is removing/replacing an individual clutch; a lot of parts need to be removed before the plates can be separated to install the new part. Sometimes, the whole assembly replacement is worth the extra cost after time/material is factored in.

Thanks Zootech. Hopefully I won't have to do this again.

I worked for a company years ago, we would receive dozens and dozens of used AR-M550/620/700N series and we would remove the feed/drive sections out of them and replace all the clutches with new ones before they went out to the clients.

Re: Sharp MX101N - 2nd transfer belt not turning.

Greeting. I am in need of a primary transfer assembly clutch, part number PCLC-0378FCZZ, for this Sharp MX-4101 copier. I found one on Ebay yesterday, but was informed by the vendor (total-trading2005) that they have to search for it. I contacted a search on Google reveals that only Precision Roller and Item Inc. have them listed. Both are out of stock, and the sales rep at Item Inc. informed me that Sharp discontinued the clutch 6 months ago.

I did find one at ALIBABA in China for $29.99. With free shipping, the part will arrive on July 11th. If we go UPS Express Saver ($57.93), it will arrive 6/23/2022.

            Your assistance will appreciated.

Greetings fellow technicians. I apologize for the delay as I'm in the process closing down the shop's operations. Anyway. I found both the clutches on EBay. They have been replaced and the copier is fully operational. Thanks to my friend who works for Sharp for his assistance and you all for your input.
