    [Jamming] MX-3060V - RSPF SSPD3_N Jam

    Hello,
I have a machine that jams everytime with the error code SPPD3_N
But only when I try to do a black&white copy
The copy worked fine when I used the missfeed disable in SIM 7-1
If I select color copy then it works without a problem
The firware is the latest version

What could be the cause of this?
If it was the SPPD3 sensor it would jam even in color, right?
(Sorry I'm kinda new to copier maintenance, so I'm not sure what to do/check)

    Thank you in advance

Does it jam every sheet or intermittent?

How many pages have been thru the feeder?

As you pointed out the sensor is probably good because it works in color scanning. But since the copy speed is faster in bw mode, I'd look at the transport clutch.

I have very limited experience with Sharp. If that sensor have a actuator type sensor then may be a problem with the returning speed after the BW paper passes over?
Defects are simple, our mind is complicated

Copy mode is almost twice as fast for BW compared to Color on this document feeder (80 vs 41 ppm), but Scan mode is the same speed for both BW and Color (80 ppm).
Run some Scan to HDD tests instead of copy tests. If you still have SPPD3 jams in Scan Mode on both BW and Color, you've either got a transport clutch issue or slow return sensor actuator spring. Both of these causes would be negated with Jam Disable mode turned on as it's not a physical blockage of the paper pathway.
If a set of 50 sheets passing through the document feeder evenly & without hesitation or stalling/buckling (when Jam Disable mode is activated) then it would be safe to say the transport clutch is OK. Lean more towards drive belt tension or slow sensor actuator. To access SPPD3 sensor requires the document feeder to be dismantled quite significantly, but it's very easy.

It jams at the very first page

I'll try that when I go back to the client

          Thank you for the suggestions
