Re: Sharp MX-6070 POD1_N
It finally jammed for me today. Page was post fuser, exit rollers had not begun to turn and fuser crashed it into them. Machine declared POD1_N. Looking like POD1 sensor after all. Got a new one in there and hopefully this takes care of it.
Thanks everybody for the suggestions

I agree with Blind Avocado. This series had a lot of problems with the POD1 sensor and since it is not reaching the fuser I would replace the sensor. You can swap one from one of the paper feed assemblies to test, they are the same sensor.
Good luck

Re: Sharp MX-6070 POD1_N
The POD1 sensor is the fuser exit sensor right above the fuser rollers. It is the one you have to unplug when you take the top cover off the fuser. POD1_N means the paper is not reaching this sensor. It wouldn't hurt to replace it to see if that fixes it. If it is getting stuck before the fuser check the ITB to see if it is sticking or slipping.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp MX-6070 POD1_N
I haven't seen the jam, so I'm not 100% sure, but from what the end user is describing, it either doesn't enter the fuser or gets jammed in the nip.Leave a comment:

Check if the mylar at the paper entrance on the fuser is bent, that can stop it. It may be the paper is slipping in the fuser itself. Does the paper ever enter the fuser?Leave a comment:

I would check and clean the sensor right below the fuser as the first step.Leave a comment:

Sharp MX-6070 POD1_N
Hey all, I'm coming from Xerox land so apologies if I'm missing something obvious
I've got a Sharp MX-6070 giving a POD1_N jam. I've been unable to replicate it thus far, but the customer states it's getting jammed up right before the fuser. Fuser life in 22-13 shows 18% and everything in the fuser appears to be in good shape when visually inspecting it. I'm also told this machine has had it's fuser drive refreshed recently as well. Machine is just over 1m. Any pointers or ideas?
