    Re: MX3070 DPSF jamming

    Good morning,
first, there is a simple check to do.
1 - turn off the MFP,
2 - open the DSPF rear cover,
3 - check that no paper clip has fallen on the DSPF control board.

Next, what are the recent jam codes in the history?
French technician since 1994. Thanks to Google Translator for helping me to make myself understood by you.

also have had the black sensor cushions things under the sensor lever( black and foam to stop the noise of the lever hitting the plastic when it returns) just remove them. the can get sticky .. the paper hits sensor arm and cant push it open.
      I fix copiers ...Well Sorta

Maybe , while opening the rear cover, check the tension on the drive belt thats under there also.

The grinding noise could be the belt beeing too loose.

          THIS.

I've had to clean 8 actuator pads this week, 4 machines by the SPPD3 sensor. They are getting sticky. Reminds me of Canon and HP. WTH.

Also, sometimes creates a lead edge void that's like 1 inch thick on scans and copies. Thankfully, the cleaning process takes like 15 mins to take about and put back together again. But, annoying as hell.

Very inexpensive part can drive you nuts. PSHEZ5449FCZ2 there are 2 of them and they can get paper cuts in them causing jams.

Reverse Single Pass? Nah man. I've personally experienced this on the Dual Sided Scanners on the Phoenix boxes. MX-3070/4070/3570/4570/5070/6070 MFP's.

I even took a picture earlier this month to show and train my coworkers:

I just had a customer ask me to guote them a machine to replace their MX-3570N that was shifting page 1 about an inch through the ADF. Techs had been there twice with no success. I asked her to let me take a shot at it. Found the sticky pad pretty quickly.

I have had this before, took me a while to find the issue as i was running fresh paper through, only when the customer came along with slightly creased paper did the fault occur, i took them off in the end and it worked OK.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
