Scanning from glass problem.

    Scanning from glass problem.

    This problem id happening on a 3640 and a 4140 at the same office. When the customer scand to email from the doc feeder all is ok. But when customer tries to scan from the glass they get selected servers not found message. Seeing if anybody has seen this before? Thanks for any suggestions.

      Curious,

      Sounds like it might be a timeout issue. Ie the df sends scan as soon as last page is finished. On the platen it asks if you want to add another page.

      I would try extending the smtp timeout, might be worth also trying it shorter too.

          Thanks for the reply. We have the timeout maxed out right now. Just trying to think of the reasons it would be different between scanning from off the glass compared to through the doc feeder.

              have you tried a different mail server for testing?
              I fix copiers ...Well Sorta
