    Adobe reader print problem

    Hello,

On the customer site we have installed a sharp BP-50C26. When they print a "PDF" (this is an export from sketchup program) in color (see attachement, small peace of the drawing) certan areas are not fully black and it prints a small color line. Whenever i print the same document black/white there is no problem. Also when printing from sketchup it gives no problem. Has anyone else encountered such a problem within adobe acrobat reader?

When printing next to Properties is Advanced box. Select Advanced and then select Print as Image. This usually solves problems like you are having.

PDFs created from various software can render various results. We have a customer that use an online site called Canva to make PDF files. Sometimes they look great, sometimes they get weird lines and color issues. If they have Microsoft Word, you can convert it to a .docx files and test printing. If that looks good, you know for certain it is the file itself.
In Reader, you can change and play with the settings below to see if one of them clears up the image. Sounds like a file problem from what you describe.

I wonder if a PostScript driver would fix this? This would also require the PostScript kit too for the series..

Printing the same file to an Advanced Series would answer that question.

Will they let you take a copy of the file back to the office to try it on an Advanced Series using a PS driver?

I was able to test the same file on our BP70C31 and that went good. Our BP70C31 has default PS installed, but the printer driver is PCL

Did you try unticking the 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup' in the preferences of adobe reader?
