    Wireless Lan BP-50C26

    Hello
Is there another, cheaper way to retrofit a WiFi module to the BP-50C26 than the expensive BP-EB10?
    Accept every idea with gratitude.

    Thanks

If you really want to do it cheap get a wireless switch and attach the copier to it.

    Good luck

The BP-EB10 is inexpensive. Less than $40 USD.

Yes, I just double checked. Our cost is $36.00

Perhaps there is a reason is is much higher in Europe. Maybe wireless devices have some type of compliance costs that the EU adds on?

              Wow, that's interesting!

We are talking about CPWBN2373FCE1 with PR:BP?
              Our cost is $106!

              Must be nice.

Also, I agree with bilyahn, wanna do it cheap, get a wireless switch.

You can also take one from an old MX2640 or so and put it in the BP

Tried this ourselves, did not work. The BP could not see any networks and could not connect, even with explicit SSID and password entered.

Also tried a WiFi module from a CR4 and CR4.5 range, same result.

That is the correct part# but is $70.00 cheaper to order as a BP-EB10.

There not the same. Also different location on the machine to place them (US - left corner below the scanner unit / Europe above the front door behind the cabinet).
If you want to use an older version (EB18), that's only possible when you sacrifice the USB-port on the front of the machine.
