    E7-03

    Hello,

A customer has a B355W. A couple of months ago the machine gave the code E7-03. We replaced the HDD and the error was gone. Now recently the code E7-03 returned. Does anyone have any ideas.

    Regards,

    Ramon

Looked at my history, every single one of my E7-03's were resolved with replacement of HDD's, SD cards, and in one case MFPC PWB.

I recommend to replace the HDD with OEM this time, and reflash the firmware using CN Emergency Update. (Just checked Service Manual, look at section 8-2 "D. Update method using emergency function")
If problem persists, replace the SD card, and perform the CN Emergency update.

I would confirm that the HDD cable is good condition, I have seen the cables crack the harness holder on the MFPC PWB, and that had to be replaced.

    Good luck.

[I have found 2 MFP-pwb with broken red Msata connections. If you push that red wire down it will break the little "shelf" on the MFP pwb. It then doesn't have a good connection from the HDD hence the E7-03

I don't think these have a SD card.

I'd try the HDD, then the program ROM followed by the MFPC pwb.
