I have a Sharp BP70C55 making a groaning fuser noise when copying or printing. The copier has less than 30,000 copies and was installed six months ago. It also makes the noise during the meandering fuser adjustment and the adjustment shows ok. I swapped out the fuser and the noise went away which made the customer happy. I brought the fuser back to our shop and tried it in our machine and the noise is still there with the fuser. If anyone has any ideas on this I would appreciate it. I took the fuser apart and everything inside looks like new. The next plan is to rebuild the fuser or buy a new one.

Re: Sharp BP70C55 fuser noise
Hi
You have a 1 year warranty on the device. If this error occurred to me after 6 months / 30,000 pages, Sharp Germany would have the fusing unit on the table and I would have the new fusing unit.
I haven't found the cause of the noise yet. -
Re: Sharp BP70C55 fuser noise
So you get warranty on fusers?
Thats interesting...BeNeLux never gives warranty on fusers!Comment

Re: Sharp BP70C55 fuser noise
The Solution for me was to lube the back of the pressure lever spring where the post connects with a Ering. The Ering has room to slide back and forth which is where I think the noise was coming from as it was happening when the pressure was released. It has been several weeks since I tried this on their original fuser.Comment

Re: Sharp BP70C55 fuser noise
I had this recently and was scratching my head. Fairly new machine BP series. Wound up being a full piece of paper folded up and sucked into the belt unit. Fuser was hard to turn by hand which gave me a clue but still almost missed it until a small part of the paper could be seen. Fished it out and noise went away.
Good luck.
