We have a Sharp MX-4070N that has intermittent fills and voids. They can run 200 or more pages without any problems. We have replaced all the consumables transfer belt unit, 2nd transfer roller, all drum's units, fuser, ptc, and developers. We brought the machine into the shop and had no problems in the shop, we had it for over a month. We gave them a loaner with which they had no problems. We returned the copier, and they had no problems for about a month, then the issues started again. My thought is a power issue as it is not on a dedicated line, or damp paper. The Secretary has said that they have issues with their computers with the power once in a while. They are just outside of a very small town on a dirt road in the walkout basement of their house. I have tried everything I know to do and am open to more ideas to present to my boss.

Re: MX-4070N intermittent voids and fills
I was thinking power or damp paper as well, but you said the loaner worked fine and you said the copier worked fine back at the shop. Have you tested the wall outlet? What else is connected to that circuit? Could you plug the machine into another area on a different circuit?Comment

Re: MX-4070N intermittent voids and fills
The secondary transfer roller contact position clutch, which is on the fuser drive unit can slip or just not operate right. It can give copy quality problems like that and also codes.May be something to look at.Comment
