Re: Data backup
Just clone the old mashine. You have 2 options backup and device cloning, in the clone options there ist network setting ( includes DNS and smtp )
If you use the service login there is just the option to backup. You have to use the normal admin login. -
Re: Data backup
It really depends what models you are working with. If you're on a BP model, DOOOOOO NOTTTTTTTT clone everything all at once. ONLY clone what you ABSOLUTELY need, if that. If you convert the bin file to text and see the lines of code, it's astronomically different, and it's not worth it.
We also had a bunch of issues with the 51/71 series with cloning to them, as they would run slow, home screen shortcuts would glitch out, scanning settings get messed up, etc.
There more and more clone files the machine receives, the worse it can get. For instance: going from a 2300 > 2640 > 3050 > 3071, mega NO-NO. All of those settings compound and screw things up. You might get lucky, but I'm personally tired of dealing with clones. I only get the address book, sometimes user control stuff, and everything else we do by hand, and try to do ahead of time if there is time to do so.Comment
