    MX6050V k dv dumping

we have several mx6050v series machines that are regularly dumping k dv, never an issue with the color dv. we have replaced drums units, dv unit and MC PWB and surge protectors on these machine but the issue keeps coming back. the issue will return after a week or two. we have checked the electrical supply and did find an power supply issue about a year a go and that issue was corrected any thoughts on what can be causing this issue or if its a known issue?

Ahh, welcome friend! I'm so glad that another dealer is having developer pull issues like us!

I would check the contacts of the transfer units and where they meet the machine, as well as cleaning the discharge lamp in the inner cavity of the machine. Just curious, have you replaced all of those things together, or just one at a time? We've had issues with the process units, the drum gets a wear mark on one of the ends due to a failure with the mylar underneath the drum cleaning blade.

We use generic toners and waste boxes, and I firmly believe it's one if not both of those things causing all of our issues.

For a while it was the MC PWB causing issues, then the process unit, then it was the DV units, and sometimes a combo of each. It's been frustrating for a a few years now without a resolve.

yes, we have replaced all the components at the same time in an effort to nip the problem in the bud. Alas the the machines have given us the finger and laughed.

Generic toner and waste boxes are a sure fire way to cause those issues.
