    MX-M465 calibration

Hello, I am working on this machine. It wont complete the calibration. After it prints out the first chart and put it on the glass. It scans the calibration page then a message comes on the screen to put the page on gless. I have had this before on other models. On those I have cleared out what it will let you in sim 44. then it allowed the calibration to complete. This machine has about 60 % on maint items. I did try different drum, developer, and transfer roller. I feel like my mind is blanking out on how I fixed this before. If anyone has any suggestions I will appreciate it. Thanks

When I've had this in the past I, clean the optics and re calibrate my "white balance" sim 63-2 shading for both the OC and DSPF. and also run the SIT chart in 63-3 for good measure. Then I run
    44-2, 44-27, 44-6, 44-26, 46-74 Good luck.

Do the calibration pages that print out look okay? If there's any doubt, I would first clean the sensor under the transfer roller and try again.

Also make sure the way the paper comes out is the way you put it on the glass, make sure the paper is Letter(Portrait) or Ledger.

Here's a couple other things to try:

Run 25-1 to mix the DV and make sure the value is close to 128

Run 46-24, and then 67-24 separately, hopefully one of them works.

Run 44-2, 44-6, 44-26 a couple times each, and then try running 46-24/67-24 or 46-74

I did these things and from the other post. Initially the copies were very dark dense black solids. No background but copies very dark. I changed the transfer roller assy and thought that fixed it. The copies came out normal looking. But I put their unit back in and the copies still looked good, but still wouldnt calibrate. I got it to cali brate now and I think all is good. Thanks.

Back when we had 60 or so of the 565 model, we had issues with the sensor under the transfer unit, where the machines would throw F2-78 codes constantly(not down). If it didn't do that, density would be everywhere. One copy would be super dark, another would be super light. It got to the point where if we went on one of those machines that we had our tech's run the calibrations every time to avoid those calls. Probably one of my least favorite Sharp series' I've worked on.

assuming scanner glass mirrors optics are all cleaned and you really need to calibrate :
1st step : replace DV unit and Developer. Then execute sim 25-2. Then try to calibrate Sim 46-74
                  if still having issues
2nd step : replace drum and main charger kit ( often parts wear out before its maintenance)
when doing these make sure to clean laser scanner unit outside glass and image density sensor by Transfer roller.
also a hint: sometimes the paper quality you use to calibrate matters, try using goof quality hammer mill paper if possible
