Sharp BP-70C55 Thin blue line on 2 sided copys and scans

I have been to this machine twice now Sharp BP-70C55 That is leaving a thin blue line when they do a two sided scan or copy. I have cleaned the upper slit glass and it goes away. Single sided copies or scans are fine. The line is always in the same place. Firmware is updated to the latest. I have cleaned all the optics. The last time I was there I ran 100 two sided copies with no lines after cleaning. I just got the call today that it is back. This client is over an hour away and its a pain to keep going back for the same problem. Any ideas are appreciated.

We did have a 5071 once that ended up needing to calibrate the CCD for the 2nd side in the ADF for a line that wouldn't go away... but yours sounds intermittent. Still a possibility though. Pretty sure our tech used that white reference chart that you can technically make out of thicker A4 paper(or just legal)

The BP DSPF uses a different white ref chart than the MX's. Make sure you have the correct one

think simple I would say. maybe just cleaning glass and white read plate from outside is not enough.
The dspf optical section has its own mirror and lens inside.
try cleaning the inner mirrors and lens because just a small dust inside can be enough to cause lines

isnt there a setting on the webpage to "reduce lines" somewhere?

It has been a week and a half now with no blue lines. I found a blue gel pen next to the copier on a worktable and did training with the person who seemed to be in charge of the copier. She was going to pass the word along to the 15 other people in the office. So, I hope that this is an end to the problem.
