    [Electrical] Sharp Error H4-00

    Hi Everyone

I am currently struggling with a sharp BP-30M31 where the error H4-00 just does not want to go away after running sim14 and restarting the machine is dead quiet for about a minute and then the error pops up again, it does not even attempt to cycle or anything. I have replaced the thermistors already as the old ones were full of hard toner, the heater lamp is working fine I have tested it, connections and harnesses seem to be fine as well, and the power coming from the wall is also fine.

Is there anything else that I can try to do on the machine as I am thinking of replacing the whole fuser. I am going back to the client on Monday to continue repairs, i have not tried updating the firmware yet but i will try that as well when i am back at the machine

please guys any advice would be appreciated

I had one on a BP-50C45 but can't remember which H4 code I had. I replaced the fuser and still had it. Mine was the PCU board. Was the signal from one of the sensors. Good luck hope this helps.

We had the same problem. We swapped the fuser and it didn't work, so we had to replace the PCU PWB. Pretty sure it was a BP70C31

We had one like that. Ended up replacing the fuser harness. Haven't heard back since with that code. One of the pins could be damaged enough to keep coding out. It's not too terribly hard to change. Just have to get a couple things out of the way in back to get it out. The hardest part is getting the connector through a hole that's just a skosh too small. Have to wiggle & finesse it, will finally get through.

I've heard of that on the 3070/71 series, but haven't heard of that needing done on the BP series yet. Hopefully never have to do that!

Thanks guys I appreciate it, I will try these fixes on Monday, I will try the firmware first and see from there but I suspect PCU board, the machine has only done about 30k, I hope it isn't anything that I will need to order, sharp spares take extremely long to get to me and the client is quite impatient

Update, I fixed the issue by replacing the HL PWB
