Is it possible to get the kit harness for a RB-25 to work on a MX-3071????

You need the inner conversion harness DHAi-6109FCPZ.

Bulletin MFP-TB-1662 lists all the conversion harnesses.

My understanding is you can't go from a non-N accessory to an "N" machine(or 71 series), but you can go from an "N" accessory to a non-N machine. It makes zero sense, and why they changed them, nobody knows, but it was a dumb mistake. But you could try getting the adapters and see if it works, just don't be surprised if it doesn't. We used to have a non-N DE25 that we tried to get adapters to make it work with a 3050N, but nothing worked.

I have not tried this conversaion and you are likely right. These adapters were not meant to get a non-N accessory to work on a xx71 series.

The RB25 only has a small pwb in it so you might also need to swap it out. If it was me and I didn't aleady have the parts to try the conversion I would be shopping for a RB25N.

Yes it works. I just got the harnesses from a 25 and installed it on the 25n. The boards have the same connectors on them. We had the same situation as you and we changed harnesses and all was good.
