    [Jamming] MX-C304W Curling Paper

    Hi There,

I Have an issue with MX-C304W with curled paper on exit. (see picture)
We checked paper and with Navigator 80g the problem is not showing so frequently.
But The paper that customer is using is almost good (not the best, but)

Sharp is telling me, I need to change exit sponges. But is a really mess to do.

    Any help on this.?
Is there a way to change Sponges without dismantling the whole machine?

    Thank you so much.

The only time I have had this on this machine is when there is a high humidity content in the paper. It would every page would curl up in the output tray. I put in fresh paper and the problem went away.

I have never had to replace the sponge rollers for that model. For curled paper I usually default to paper condition, job type, or problem with the fuser. What's the meter count on that device? Fuser is rated for "150K". Any wrinkles on the pressure roller? If you flip the paper in the tray, does the problem go away?

Easiest solution for any model is to lower the fuser temp. I forgot the Sim but it should be in the manual.

I would also say damp paper. Take a new sealed ream of paper. Leave 10 sheets of their paper in the tray and lay 10 sheets of your paper on top of theirs. Run 20 pages and see what happens. If 10 come out flat then at page 11 they start to curl you have your answer. If it does start to curl at 11 load the tray again and bring the customer over to watch.

Sim 43, usually 43-1 is what is needed.
