    sharp mxm450u

    I have a sharp mxm450u with a f1-00 error communication problem with
    the finsher. updated firmware, hope it works anyone had this fault information welcome. Thanks

      There are only really three components involved in this communication loop: The finisher controller, the wiring & connectors, and the PCU (printer control unit = engine board).

      I always check the cheap stuff first, no matter how unlikely, so I'd make sure that the wiring and connections are good. There are not very many items to check and only 30 minutes with your meter.

      Now in real life, the most common cause of communication problems between any accessory and any Sharp copier is a problem with the PCU. Don't forget to retain the original EEPROMS. Replacement boards most often don't have these, and it won't do anything without them. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
