    Sharp AR 168S "Maintenance due"

    Hi troops,
I spend most of my time on Ricoh/Savin, but we will try to help anyone. I've been asked to look at a 168s, that has a message saying "maintenance due". I looked at another post that had a procedure to get into service mode. He called it "P star C star" then he gave the sim codes to run or clear dev, drum and maint. counters. Would this be the same procedures for this copier???
Thanks, and I appreciate any help given.
    Jimbo :-)

Yes sir. Just counters to reset. No stir on this one. Maintenance is bag of developer, drum, & blade.

Watch the ring gear on the fuser for early failure. And don't overtighten the fuser mounting screws. Once they strip out (and they will) the machine is toast.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
